Big Guns and Lit'l Britches

This is an original oil painting I did for my grandsons' second birthday. Although he's not really old enough to appreciate it yet, I'm hoping someday he'll be proud of his Mimi's painting. I think his parents liked it a lot. It was fun to do and in case you haven't guessed, the middle cowboy is my grandson, you can tell by the initials on his chaps - PBN.

Happily Ever After

Here is a collage I did for my daughter-in-law's sister's wedding. It depicts Desi & Jeff's relationship from the beginning up to their wedding. She was very pleased with it.

For Love of Old Blue

This is my Daddy's old '57 Ford Pickup which he gave to my nephew, Marshall, on his 16th Birthday. Marshall and his Dad, Gary have refurbished the truck which is a part of our family.
All the kids have learned to drive on it. I took photos of my Dad, Joe, and Marshall and made this mixed media collage for Marshall for Christmas 2006. For a seventeen-year-old, he thought it was pretty cool!

This is a pastel still-life and is for sale framed in a gold frame.

This is my French courtyard setting. I sold this painting!

This is an oil painting of
Water lillies and available for sale.

This is a collage of vintage valentine postcards, momentos and
other sentimental objects reflections of love be it love of God, love for another or love of the idea of love.

Collage Workshop

This is my first attempt at collage in many years. The photo is of my aunt and uncle upon their engagement. She looks so determined and confident. He looks happy. He knows he made a good catch. I don't know what their life was like on a daily basis, but I know he brought her coffee in bed each morning and called her "young lady" all their married life. I think they were very devoted to each other. She never remarried after he passed away.

This is a collage of my trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico this past summer. The colors of the buildings were bright and vivid yet the atmosphere was relaxed and easy going. You just wanted to enjoy setting on a park bench and watching the world go by. The sounds, colors, smells created a sense of happiness and calm.
